Merritt has been making her mark around St. Pete with murals & gallery shows, but this marks her premier solo show. In it, she showcases her career as a textile artist by intertwining designs into her new collection. She invites you to come spend an afternoon learning which design pulls you in most. Up close snippets of the human form come together as one abstract design. It's only when you look closer do you realize you're taking part in an intimate journey of a human body. Perhaps it's the simple curve of the hips that remind you to stay bold & outspoken; a handful. A subtle bellybutton reminds you to "trust your gut."
