Arts Alive: Three from 620’s ‘Drilled!’

Today on Arts Alive! we’re joined by Bill Leavengood and Constantine Grame, the authors – book and music, respectively – of the political comedy Drilled! The Final Term?, onstage this weekend at The Studio@620.
Also on the podcast is singer and actress Bailee McQueen, who plays multiple roles in the fast-moving production.
Leavengood and Grame collaborated on an earlier version of Drilled!, which also co-starred McQueen; the compositional pair also created Gaspar! The Musical, in 2023.
All the action in Drilled! takes place in an dentist’s office, and combined with the pointed barbs and witty lyrics (written by Leavengood) about the current state of politics in America, audience will come to understand the double meanings ascribed to words like pain, and numbness, and the play’s title itself.
Access showtimes (today through Sunday) and tickets at this link.
Arts Alive! is recorded in the podcast studio at St. Pete Athletic.
