Arts Alliance announces 2022 MUSE Award winners

The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance has announced the six community members it will honor with MUSE Awards at a ceremony March 4.
Although the 2021 honors were canceled due to the pandemic, the MUSE Awards have been part of the Arts Alliance’s dedicated community interaction for nearly a decade.
This year’s honorees:
Arts Ambassador: Artist and gallery owner Chad Mize. “Recognizes beloved St. Petersburg arts supporters who are stellar representatives of our City of the Arts.”
Visual Arts: Artist Carlos Culbertson, aka Zulu Painter. “Recognizes an artist or organization that has achieved excellence in the visual arts.”
Performance Arts: Actor and singer Matthew McGee. “Recognizes an artist or organization that has achieved excellence in the performance field.”
Art and Technology: PixelStix founder Matthew Walker. “Recognizes an artist or organization that has achieved excellence in the field of Arts and Technology which includes but not limited to digital media, integrative technologies, and immersive audience experience,”
Literary Arts: Poet Gloria Muñoz. “Recognizes an artist or organization that has achieved excellence in the written word in fiction or non-fiction, playwriting, screen writing, journalism, poetry or prose, print or digital formats.”
Patron of the Arts: David and Becky Ramsey. “Recognizes an individual or couple who, with their time and treasure, generously support the arts.”
