Her work has strategically focused on the design and evaluation of cutting-edge investments and programming that move the needle of progress in areas such as accelerating job creation, speeding small business growth, and improving the health of low-performing community economies. Gypsy has held executive positions with trailblazing organizations in the fields of economic, commercial, workforce, political and business development, as well as education advocacy. Among them, she was Vice President of Development for Urban Development Solutions and of International Enterprise Development. In St. Petersburg, she serves as CEO of the 2020 Plan to reduce poverty by 30% by the 2020 Census in South St. Petersburg – an area identified by officials as the largest of five high poverty zones in Pinellas County, Florida. Across Florida and the nation, her firm – Urban Market Analytics – specializes in designing, funding and evaluating large-scale initiatives and programs in the fields of workforce development, micro & small business development and commercial development. She is the recipient of two dozen awards for leadership and service, and is a mother of four adult children, including two nephews she helped raise.
