St. Pete has $11.6M for housing. Developers want more

St. Petersburg has set aside $11.6 million to help finance affordable apartment projects in South St. Pete next year, but developers are already asking for more than three times that amount.

City records show at least $35 million in unfunded requests are under review for 398 affordable units. More applications are expected during the coming fiscal year.

David Jolly has announced his refusal to debate gubernatorial opponent Byron Donalds during the general election.

The decision was announced by the Jolly campaign Sunday, with Jolly asserting that “debates this cycle would not create constructive, honest conversation and only further stoke division, animosity and bad will.”
