Amazon breaks ground on delivery station in St. Pete

On the corner of 45th Street and 62nd Avenue North in Pinellas Park, blue signage wraps around a large industrial site where tractors toss dirt to make way for an Amazon delivery station. 

The 40,000-square-foot Pinellas Park facility, at 6101 45th St. N, will serve as a terminus for e-commerce giant Amazon's last-mile consumer deliveries.

Seabird Sanctuary founder Ralph Heath, Tampa Bay’s ‘Bird Man,’ dies

Ralph T. Heath, Jr., the charismatic founder of the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, once the largest nonprofit wild bird hospital and rehabilitation center in the United States, died Saturday. He was 76.

News of Heath’s death was confirmed by his attorney, Kevin Doty.
