Tampa Bay Water provides update on drought conditions

Leaders of Tampa Bay Water, which provides drinking water to residents in Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough counties, gave an update on drought conditions March 6. 

According to the organization’s chief science officer Warren Hogg, local rivers are no longer a reliable source. Currently, the region is in a “stage three extreme water supply shortage.”

‘Ground truthing’ the next step in Tropicana Field grave search

There may be as many as 10 human bodies buried beneath the asphalt and soil of Tropicana Field’s Parking Lot 1.

If they’re in fact under there, they were originally interred at Oaklawn Cemetery, which stood on the site between 1906 and 1926.
