Pop-up market in EDGE District set to launch Super Bowl weekend

The future site of The EDGE Collective, a planned mixed-use development St. Petersburg’s EDGE District, will temporarily become a pop-up market for local retailers and restaurateurs.

Two south Florida companies, 305 Hospitality Group and Urban Marketplace Development, are collaborating on the open-air market, which will feature vendors working out of sustainable shipping containers.

John Collins leaving St. Petersburg Arts Alliance

After almost a decade at the helm of the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, John Collins is ready to stop and smell the roses. The far-reaching support organization’s founder and executive director, who turned 70 in December, will retire effective March 31.

“I think it’s time for new energy, younger energy,” said Collins, who will stay on in an advisory position through the fall. “Somebody to bring in new ideas.”
