Developer flipping a vacant Clearwater property into a $70M luxury residential project

Developer Brian Andrus' vision of transforming a piece of underutilized land in Clearwater into a residential property that takes full advantage of the waterfront is becoming a reality.

His project, dubbed the Marina Bay 880, is a 380,000-square-foot condominium development on a five-acre lot at 880 N. Osceola Ave. The project, which broke ground in October 2019, includes two eight-story buildings with a total of 87 condominiums with floor-to-ceiling windows that boasts views of the bay.

Poet, author Jessica Mehta reads this week at Tombolo

The recipient of the Keep St. Pete Lit Writer’s Residency for 2021 is Jessica Mehta, an Oregon-based poet and novelist who has published 10 books. Mehta has just arrived in St. Petersburg to work with KSPL writers, and she’ll also give a reading Thursday (Aug. 12) at Tombolo Books.

Although her work includes novels and short stories, and she’s also a writer-for-hire (gotta keep those bills paid somehow), Mehta is at her core a poet. Her work is both personal and universal, visceral and ethereal, and for her, the most effective way to communicate.
