Exactly one year ago, St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch rejected the joint proposal from Moffitt and its partners to build a mixed-used development at the 800 Block of 1st Avenue S.

There aren’t a lot of full-time St. Petersburg residents who turn up frequently in movies or on TV, or who walk the swankiest of Parisian fashion-modeling runways.

Topping the list of one is Eugenie Bondurant, who is today’s guest on our Arts Alive! podcast. Originally from New Orleans, Bondurant arrived in the bay area 20 years ago (this very month) on the arm of her newly-minted husband, Hillsborough native Paul Wilborn.
