After two decades in Tallahassee, Senator Rouson bids farewell

Florida Senator Darryl Rouson bid farewell Friday as he prepares to term out of office. The sendoff came during the final days of the legislative session, where family, friends and longtime supporters gathered in Tallahassee.

Rouson represents Florida’s 16th Senate District, which includes parts of Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, including St. Petersburg and portions of Tampa. The district was previously numbered District 19 before redistricting.

Padmé Flower Farm launches weekly U-Pick experiences

Mallika Nair has always loved agriculture. She began growing vegetables more than a decade ago as a hobby and also got a degree in environmental studies.

After planting flowers, Nair found a new purpose. This led her to create the Warehouse Arts District-based Padmé Flower Farm, at 22nd Street and 3rd Avenue S. The company has launched Thursday, and every other Sunday, U-Pick experiences.
