St. Petersburg College opens Innovation Hub

While just three years shy of celebrating its centennial birthday, St. Petersburg College (SPC) continues fostering workforce development and innovation by incorporating new technologies into its wide array of programming.

The institution began in an unused wing of St. Petersburg High School in 1927 and continues expanding its footprint throughout Pinellas County. SPC opened its latest facility Tuesday, the Chris Sprowls Workforce Innovation Hub.

Drive-thru salad concept breaks ground on first St. Pete location

A growing drive-thru salad concept has broken ground on its first location in St. Petersburg.

Greenlane is a health-focused drive-thru that sells salads, wraps and drinks, including kombucha (by the bottle or in slushie form) from St. Pete’s Mother Kombucha. The brand launched in June 2023 with its first location on West Gandy Blvd. in Tampa and is now expanding to two new locations at 2115 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa and 8001 4th Street N. in St. Pete.
