December in the arts: Yule (probably) love these shows

You want holiday shows, you got holiday shows. If you’re not interested, you got holiday shows anyway. With December, of course, comes a Christmas-themed concert cavalcade, with festive spirit-brightening in mind.

Here’s a rundown of all the major bay area arts and culture events in December, with – as always – a preponderance of holiday gaiety. The ones with no direct correlation with Christmas are listed separately.

Dec. 2 The Greatest Christmas Story Every Told by Two People, or… A Christmas Carol? at thestudio@620 (two performances).

Dec. 3 The Florida Orchestra: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000 movie with live orchestral accompaniment) at the Mahaffey Theater (two performances).

Dec. 5 Jingle Y’all with Jake Owen, Chris Janson, Elle King, Corey Kent, Kassi Ashton, Neon Union at Seminole Hard Rock Event Center. Not really a holiday concert, but this annual country music showcase does have the word “jingle” in the title.

Dec. 6 Andrea Del Principe: An Italian Christmas Night at the Palladium.

Dec. 7 Nate Najar’s Jazz Holiday at the Palladium.
