: CELEBRATING SONG– Please join us as renowned tenor Johnnie Felder brings us a  celebration of uplifting songs and favorite African American Spirituals.  Dr. Felder’s selections will include: “If I can Help Somebody”, arranged by Nathan Carter and “Guide my Feet” arranged by Jacqueline Hairston.

 

JOHNNIE FELDER, TENOR; TIMOTHY BELK, PIANO

Dr. Felder is a native of Vance South Carolina and holds bachelor and graduate degrees from Benedict College and the University of South Carolina where he is currently a voice teacher.  He has had a distinguished and varied career singing operatic works, popular music, and African American Spirituals. He has concertized around the United States and also in Europe.

Timothy Belk serves as Director of Music Ministries at Peace Memorial.  He is well known to Tampa Bay Area audiences, frequently performing American Guild of Organists programs, on the Peace Concert Series and St. Petersburg College. Tim is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts and holds the Prix de Perfectionment from the Conservatoire de Musique in Geneva Switzerland.

PARKING/ACCESS: There are four primary areas: 1) directly east across Ft. Harrison in large County lot 2) in lot north of the church fellowship hall 3) directly west in the Old City Hall lot and 4) at the SW corner of Pierce and Osceola in an additional city lot. The city will soon start construction on a multi-level parking garage in the old shell lot right behind Peace and this area will be unavailable until the garage is finished. During peak traffic times you may wish to use Myrtle Avenue and access the church by way of Pierce or Park Streets.
