City of St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch invites you to help shape the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Historic Gas Plant District Redevelopment, home of the Tropicana field site, by attending one of the upcoming “Community Conversations” in July.
These conversations will provide attendees with an opportunity to provide feedback on priorities for redevelopment in this area. Please keep the following themes in mind as you think about the input you'd like to share: Housing Opportunities; Business & Job Opportunities; Transportation Opportunities; Recreational Opportunities; Sustainability & Resiliency Opportunities; Arts & Culture Opportunities; Live, Work, Visit; Honoring the Gas Plant, Fulfilling Past Promises, & Reconnecting the Community.
Each session will begin with opening remarks by Mayor Welch. Participants will then break into smaller groups for discussions related to the above themes. The event will close with everyone coming together to share key ideas.
