In the U.S. alone, the LGBTQ+ community represents $917 billion in annual buying power. That makes inclusivity a win-win for both consumers and businesses. In St. Pete, the LGBTQ+ community is a treasured thread in the fabric of our local culture. In building on our core value of inclusivity, our Chamber is excited to collaborate with Metro Inclusive Health to offer a capacity-building, DE&I training to our staff, board, and membership.

 Over the course of 90 minutes, the following objectives will be explored:

• Develop a working understanding of the LGBTQ+ community including terminology, identities and pronouns usage
• Identify best practices used in welcoming and catering to the LGBTQ+ community within your industry
• Learn how to create a safer, healthy, and welcoming environment for all customers, guests and clients

Metro’s LGBTQ+ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Trainings have been proven to promote inclusive practices among staff and foster a culture of overall excellence. Metro has helped improve cultural competency for a wide range of participating organizations, from churches to restaurants to major financial institutions.
