The Studio@620 & Outcast Theatre present a theatrical production of Pass Over by Antoinette Nwandu, February 3-13, 2022. The production is a collaboration between two innovative arts non-profits, The Studio@620 and Outcast Theatre Collective, as part of their social justice initiatives and is directed by Erica Sutherlin.
In Pass Over, Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu’s "powerful and provocative" (Arifa Akbar, The Guardian) new play, Moses and Kitch talk smack, pass the time, and hope that maybe today will be different. As they dream of their promised land, a stranger wanders into their space and disrupts their plans. Evoking heartbreak, hope, and joy over its 95 minutes, Pass Over crafts everyday profanities into poetic and humorous riffs, illuminating the unquestionable human spirit of young men looking for a way out.
Erica Sutherlin is an Artist-in-Residence at The Studio@620 and holds an MFA from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and a BA in Theatrical performance and Directing.
