A recent New York Times article explored how a City once viewed as the epicenter of racism in the United States - Montgomery, Alabama - is boldly confronting and owning its past and growing the local economy simultaneously. 

Has Pinellas County gone through a similar exercise? As a resident and citizen, have you? In TigerBay's 40 year history, from what our current Board can glean, we have never dedicated a lunch to such a conversation. While we recognize that a 90 minute lunch will only allow us to cover so much, we are encouraged by the work being done in other communities throughout the country, like in Montgomery, and feel that it is an overdue discussion to bring into the Tiger Den.
