In this brilliant, funny, and ultimately deeply emotional monologue, Alex, who has a good
life, tries to make sense of his love, loss, and the possibility of faith when the force of life
crashes against him. Also, an afterthought curated by Douglas S. Hall.
Choreographer and dancer, Michael Foley’s "Travelogue: An Autobiography in 7 Little
Dances" is retrospective journey via a series of solos he has been making and
performing since 1990. With musical selections ranging from Pearl Bailey to Edith Piaf
to Chopin, Foley takes the audience on a poignant voyage through a dancer’s career
that spans the hilarious and the sentimental. In the dancer’s own words: “I like to think
of each one of these little solos as my children, and as with any child, sometimes they
need a time-out, sometimes a gentle push in the right direction, but eventually a chance
to see what's out there in the world.”
