This special evening brings together voices from across SHINE’s history to celebrate public art, creative process, and the community behind the murals.

Panelist: 

Todd Burgess in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a digital media professional and the president of Sunsation Media. He is a prominent local photographer and videographer known for his work capturing the Florida landscape and the city's arts scene with a passion for documentary and promotional video.  He is the President and a Lead Producer/Photographer at Sunsation Media, which provides video production, photography, and content marketing services. His work includes aerial cinematography, corporate branding, and travel documentaries for networks like National Geographic and the Travel Channel.

Reid Jenkins is an artist from St Petersburg, Florida. His art focuses on the events, moments, people, places, and things that make up everyday life of living and growing up in the shade of paradise. Reid holds a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art. Reid’s paintings range from murals to canvas paintings. Reid’s work has been featured in Shine mural festival and various galleries throughout the Country.

Cristi López is a Tampa Bay-based artist, muralist, and illustrator. She holds a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. Her intimate, expressive work explores interior landscapes shaped by mental illness, femininity, and faith, translating private experience into shared visual language.

Her practice spans intimate studio work and large-scale murals, ranging from a public mural at the St. Pete Pier to a tasting room mural at Apollo's Praise Winery in the New York Finger Lakes. She has presented solo exhibitions in Chicago and is active in the Tampa Bay art scene. Alongside her studio practice, she leads community-based drawing experiences that emphasize accessibility, presence, and connection. She lives and works in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Zulu Painter is an international multimedia artist who works in traditional mediums as well as special effects and scenic art. Zulu’s large-scale mural work contributes to the art revitalization of an ever-expanding list of communities. The vibrant colors in his paintings convey his goal of creating Art that uplifts viewers with positive energy. ​“I want to grow Art everywhere” is his motto as he travels the world, creating “Mindful Murals” for all to enjoy.

Jenee Priebe, Founder of No Good Deeds Art, has built a reputation as a regional leader in arts administration and project management with particular emphasis on murals and public art. With over seven years of experience as lead organizer of the SHINE Mural Festival, Priebe excels at artist relations, curation, project management, collaborative partnerships, and creative placemaking.

Through her boutique firm No Good Deeds Art, she offers public art consulting, project management and mural tours. Priebe has assisted in the creation of mural programs for other municipalities including Pinellas County, City of Clearwater, City of Pinellas Park and others. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals.

Moderator: 

Helen French is the Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, with over 20 years of experience in arts administration, education, and community-focused program development. She holds a BFA from The Juilliard School and an MFA from Hollins University, blending elite training with a deep commitment to local arts advocacy.

Helen previously served as Development Associate at the Palladium Theater, leading grant strategy and fundraising efforts. She is also the co-founder and co-producer of BEACON, a performance series that supports regional dance artists and expands access to the performing arts.

A respected educator, Helen has taught at Juilliard, George Mason University, the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, and Creative Clay to promote inclusion through the arts. Named 2021 Artist Laureate by Creative Pinellas, Helen is a visionary leader dedicated to building an equitable, vibrant, and sustainable arts ecosystem in St. Petersburg and beyond.
