Resin artist
What do you do?
I use mixed media and resin to create works of art.
Why do you do it?
Being a mother of three can be a bit exhausting; as much as I love my girls I use my “art time” to express myself and have a little me time. But most of the time I have a 3-year-old helper to pick colors and help mix.
What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)
I’ve been creating all of my life, then had three little girls and became more inspired than ever.
What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?
People often think you can make exact replications of pieces, when in fact more often than not the chemicals will react differently giving a different effect.
What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?
Patience is definitely a virtue! Waiting for the resin to fully cure before adding new layers or moving pieces is a rough wait.
What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?
Be confident in you. If you start to doubt yourself and your abilities, it’ll reflect in your business.
