Hustle (job)
Technologist
What do you do?
I help people with their everyday tech needs at home or at work, and my passion is to educate them on how to protect against cyber-attacks.
Why do you do it?
I enjoy assisting people and that reaction they get when you teach them something.
What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)
I started right out of high school, looking to help my underserved community obtain computers, and the rest is history.
What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?
That because someone already has an IT guy they don’t need to work with me; I am here to offer different services then your typical IT guy, I am like a Cybersecurity doctor, I will assess and educate before helping you protect.
What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?
Keeping up with all of it, this industry changes quickly – for example a piece of software that looks so cool can have a vulnerability tomorrow that needs to be patched ASAP.
What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?
To build a machine that operates for me so that I can be free to multi-task.
