What do you do?

We are a workplace wellness company. We help employers in the Tampa Bay area improve company performance by empowering their employees to be their best selves. Many people spend most of their waking hours at work. Most don’t have the energy at the end of their workday to prepare a healthy meal or exercise. We help organizations create convenient, health-building opportunities into the workday at their place of work by delivering on-site group fitness classes, educational wellness workshops, individual health coaching, chair massage, and more.

Why do you do it?

Based on my own personal experience I know that you must be your own health advocate. No one cares about you the way you care about yourself. It is my mission to empower people to take control of their health. I want them to know how to take better care of themselves so they can live happier and more productive lives.

What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)

Laid off from my corporate job I acted on my long-time desire to own my own business and do something more fulfilling.

What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?

Company culture has a significant impact on implementing an employee wellness program. If the company culture doesn’t support it, the chances of it being successful are slim and the benefit to employees will be minimal. We work with each client to understand their company culture and help them identify employee wellness opportunities that will provide the greatest benefit for their specific needs.

What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?

Getting the attention of decision-makers to help them see the importance and value of offering wellness services at work, and how they can make it happen even if they don’t have the budget for it.

What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?

Like most people, my upbringing has had a huge impact on how I view money. Most of my life I have been very tight with spending. The most valuable piece of business advice that’s helped me is that when I spend money to obtain new clients, this expenditure is an investment rather than a liability. Similarly, employers who spend money to promote the well-being of their employees are making an investment in the health of their business.

HOW DO EMPLOYERS BENEFIT FROM WORKING WITH YOU?

We help employers boost productivity – healthy employees get more done and take less time off; gain a competitive edge – greater employee productivity results in a healthier company bottom line; retain employees – providing wellness programs and services shows that you care and builds employee loyalty; reduce insurance claims/avoid shock claims – disease prevention programs save you (and your employees) money. We are a “one-stop shop” for employee wellness. We provide a suite of wellness programs & services and our wellness professionals are insured and vetted. We manage scheduling, compensation and tax reporting so the employer can focus on their core business. We customize our offerings to meet the goals and culture of each client and we measure and report participation and outcomes.
