What do you do?
I am a hairstylist serving the Downtown St. Pete community. I have been in the hair industry for 12 years, and I love it!
Why do you do it?
Building self-confidence for my clients is at the core of why I do what I do. When a guest is confident with their look and I am able to create modern styles that allow them to be trendsetters in their own mirror, that’s what it’s all about.
What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)
I was ready to have a more intimate environment for my clients as well as for myself. Nest Hair Loft is a calming place to center and be pampered in our world of crazy hustle bustle.
What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?
That owning your own loft is easy. Any small business owner knows that “easy” is not even a word when owning your space. However, being in my own studio allows me to focus on what truly matters – the client!
What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?
Keeping up in this fast-paced, social media game world! It is a struggle to remain relevant on social media, and I feel like I tend to be more old school, word of mouth, referrals etc., so social media is always a challenge.
What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?
“Just do you!” Someone once told me this and it has stuck with me. Be authentic to yourself and business grows organically from there.
