Years in Tampa Bay
It has been nine years since I moved to St. Petersburg after the end of my six-year enlistment in the United States Air Force as Staff Sergeant in the Security Forces field. Since then I worked locally with housing homeless veterans with non-profits, and providing medical access to Pinellas County with citizens’ local government.
Hustle (job)
Online Apparel Store Owner.
What do you do?
I am a Customer Success Specialist for Pipedrive, a sales software CRM. I consult with companies on how to get the best use of Pipedrive.
Why do you do it?
I do it because it’s a dope way to direct energy into art and expression. Clothes make your introduction before you speak.
What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)
I got started during the pandemic. I have always wanted to have my own T-shirt line. I learned a lot about starting your own e-commerce store – and then I did it.
What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?
That I am a stereotypical business owner or shop owner.
What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?
The most challenging part of my Hustle is remaining sustainable while working my full-time gig and caring for my father with Parkinson’s, Stage 2. Multi-tasking is most definitely a skill.
What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?
Mentorship and educating yourself is the best way to continue to learn and evolve.
