Volunteer at St. Anthony’s Triathlon

Volunteers are needed for St. Anthony’s Triathlon in various roles ahead of and on race day. Starting April 26, volunteers are needed in merchandise sales and athlete check-in. Additional help is needed with finish line medical aid, athlete assistance, bike check-in and many other tasks April 27 and 28.  If you have a group, reach out to Michele at SATrivolunteers@gmail.com. Volunteers needed to clean up our coastline

Celebrate Earth Week with ISPS and Keep Pinellas Beautiful by joining a community cleanup at Madiera Beach April 20 from 8-11 a.m. Volunteers will meet at Archibald Park, 15100 Gulf Blvd in Madeira Beach, and are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection and weather-appropriate clothing. Cleanup supplies will be provided, including gloves, trash bags, pickers, sunscreen, bug spray and hand sanitizer. Clean up our local beaches

Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and its community partners for a monthly beach cleanup starting at 9 a.m. April 12. Volunteers will meet at Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber, 447 Mandalay Avenue, and assist with cleaning the beach and surrounding streets. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection and weather-appropriate clothing. Cleanup supplies will be provided. A water refill station will be available, so bring a reusable water bottle. Volunteers will need to sign our waiver upon arrival. Contact Megan Jackson at mjackson@kpbcares.org to register.

Volunteer at Race for the Cupcake

Volunteers are needed to help at Race for the Cupcake 5K at Pass-a-Grille Beach Saturday, April 13. The race starts at 8 a.m. Typical duties include setting up the event, checking in runners and passing out water during the race. Become a Pinellas County Schools mentor

A Mentor Workshop is the first step to becoming a Pinellas County Schools mentor. Prior to the workshop, complete the Volunteer Application www.pcsb.org/volunteerregistration. The workshop will provide guidance as well as the next steps, including when the program starts and how a student will be assigned. On the day before and the day of the workshop, you will be sent a link with instructions to participate.

Sea Turtle Awareness Day & Lake Cleanup

Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Nesting Team April 6 for a lake cleanup. Get the chance to learn about sea turtle conservation and how you can help our local sea turtle population. This Sea Turtle Awareness Day event will include raffle prizes, the opportunity to personalize a sea turtle nesting stake, photo opportunities and much more. Earth Day Clean Up

Join Sans Market's 7th annual Earth Day Clean Up. Volunteers are needed April 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help clean the streets of St. Pete's EDGE District. Clean up gear will be provided by Keep Pinellas Beautiful. Last year, more than 200 volunteers picked up over 450 lbs of trash off the street of St. Pete. Help out at Healthy Kids Day

YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is hosting its annual Healthy Kids Day Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at three locations: Bardmoore YMCA, Jim & Heather Gills YMCA and the new Speer YMCA. The event is free and open to the public and will include an obstacle course, interactive exercise demos, music, healthy snacks, face painting, giveaways and activities for the whole family. Help needed with lawn mowing and home maintenance

Florida Dream Center offers community revitalization services to homeowners in the Lealman and Tarpon Springs areas. Volunteers are needed to help with lawn and home maintenance, which supports families in need and aging-in-place initiatives for senior citizens. The Dream Center provides all necessary supplies and volunteers are not asked to do major repairs.
