Community Dental Clinic is a nonprofit that provides access to urgent dental care at no or low cost to income-restricted, uninsured adults in Pinellas County. After dental surgery, many patients need to be on a soft food diet, but may not be able to afford the food needed to aid in their recovery and healing. You can donate food items like protein shakes, mashed potatoes, oatmeal, soups, pudding, Jello, apple sauce, macaroni and cheese, pasta and canned fruits and vegetables to support Community Dental Clinic. According to SPCA Tampa Bay, “It’s baby season for many of our wildlife friends, and our Wildlife Rehabilitation Team is in need of some upcycled items to care for the influx of animals we see this time of year.” SPCA Tampa Bay uses bottle caps and jar lids to offer water and formula to the baby animals in its care. If you have these items on hand, give them a second life and donate them to the SPCA shelter in Largo, located at 9099 130th Ave N.

Gadgets for Good is collecting unused gadgets to support members of the local community who do not have access to technology. Bring your old laptop, tablet, cellphone, computer, or any other electronic you are not using. Volunteers will recycle it and use a portion of the proceeds to donate fully refurbished computers to kids and families in the community. The electronics drive is part of an AARP Shred Event & Fraud Forum April 13 at the Lealman Exchange, 5175 45th St. N. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
