It’s playoffs time – here are the best places to watch in St. Pete
Tis the season again, y’all. Not spring, or summer, or winter, but playoff season. And when I say playoffs I mean the marathon run to the Stanley Cup.
The playoffs begin Saturday night at 7:15 – the first matchup held in Washington between the second seed Washington Capitals and third seed Boston Bruins. The President’s Trophy is still up for grabs with a battle between the Colorado Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights, and Florida? Well, Florida is the place to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers will face off in the playoffs for the first time so along with the continued party over last year’s Stanley Cup snag, all Floridians can celebrate the fact that Florida is the hottest place to watch hockey.
But in our very own St. Pete, here’s where you should be watching:
Engine 9, the official Blackhawks bar owned by Jason Esposito of the hockey hall of fame, Espositos. Locals know it as a hockey bar and tourists know it for the Demi-God burger with horseradish mayo.
- Fergs. Enough said.
- Flamingos. If it’s good enough for Jack Kerouac, it’s good enough for us.
- Five Bucks Drinkery because when else will you find anything for five bucks?
- The Avenue because the Sunshine City Cubano.
- House of Skov. You are cordially invited to our apartment where we can offer you a seventy-five inch television screen and a fridge full of La Croix.
