Luxury apartment complex on Central sells in $81.5M deal
A luxury apartment complex called the 1701 Central has sold in an $81.5 million deal.
Richmond, Virginia-based real estate firm General Services Corporation purchased the 242,942-square-foot St. Pete apartment complex Aug. 10 from Ohio-based The NRP Group, according to Pinellas County records.
The group also took out a roughly $48.9 million mortgage for the purchase from Berkeley Point Capital LLC.
The four-story apartment complex was built last year and is next to the Artistry apartments.
It has 243 contemporary-style units, with floorplans ranging from studios to units with two rooms.
The complex’s amenities include a dog wash room, access to Amazon lockers, a fitness center, a bike storage area and a leisure pool.
GSC didn’t immediately respond to a request to comment on the interest and plans for the property; however, the group has a large existing presence in the St. Pete area.
The real estate firm owns multiple apartment complexes such as The Allure at Gateway in Pinellas Park, Gull Harbor in North Redington Beach, Courtney at Bay Pines and Aluna Largo in Clearwater.
