Mask-R-Aid to raise funds for St. Petersburg Arts Alliance

A cross-section of St. Petersburg artists, craftspeople and costume designers have created one-of-a-kind masks to keep your face and that nasty COVID virus far apart – stylishly.

Mark-R-Aid was brainstormed by artist Andre Kupfermunz, who intends to auction all the art-masks off and donate the proceeds to the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. “The purpose of our project is to call attention to the need to wear masks during the pandemic, to protect yourself and others,” he says. “At the same time, St. Petersburg is a hub for artistic talent and many of the artists are financially suffering at this time.”

Beginning Aug. 1, the masks will be on view at the emporium Zazoo’d, 351 Central Ave. Through Bay Area Auction, they’ll all go on the block Aug. 15.

Artists: Donations are still being sought and graciously accepted; call 813-598-7254.
