Pulling from the works of two trailblazing women artists (Natalia Gontcharova and Gertrude Stein) this multi-disciplinary program celebrates the artistic and political strides each made during the late 1800s and early 1900s.

 

Friday, March 20

7-9:30pm, Re-Creation of the World: Escape Velocity, Free with Admission

Six amazing composers will each write a companion piece that corresponds to one of the six sections of Milhaud’s Creation du Monde, crafting a new narrative of the “creation of the world” that reflects a contemporary worldview.
