Profile

When Mike Harting and Ty Weaver were working on a recipe for craft beer battered fish, they decided to make it with their own handcrafted brews. After a few batches, they decided to invest in their own brewery to increase their production. The pair journeyed into the beer industry and didn't look back. Harting became owner and Weaver head brewer. As they were searching for a name, the thought kept running through our minds was, “how many beers do we have to sell to put three daughters through college?” And so, the brewery was named. Craft beer has captured consumer attention in St. Pete, thanks in part to 3 Daughters' accessible brand. In 2017, it debuted it's Floating Dock Light india pale ale, the first canned light craft beer in the state. 3 Daughters creations are sold in restaurants, bars, and grocery stores in Florida, Georgia and the Bahamas. The family-owned business' tasting room offers 60 craft beer recipes on tap, with options for flights, pints, or growlers. It also offers game areas with life-sized Jenga, darts, tabletop shuffleboard tables and weekly music performances.

Company Leadership

Owner/ Operator

Mike is a native of St. Petersburg, and gained much of his 25 years’ hospitality experience in reputable chains such as Hooters, Steak & Ale and Outback Steakhouse. Mike’s next challenge was to revitalize the brand and grow sales for an under-performing restaurant in downtown St Petersburg. After relocating the restaurant’s location to Beach Drive, Bella Brava is now thriving, and increased sales from 1.3 MM to 4.4 MM annually in just four years. Mike brings his years of experience and vision to making 3 Daughters Brewing a place everyone can enjoy a great craft beer.
