Founder and Director
40 years ago a young entrepreneur named Bob celebrated his birthday by investing the proceeds of a real estate transaction into what was then known as Bankers Fire and Casualty Company to launch a new firm, Bankers Insurance Company. Many business leaders questioned the move. But Bob, as he has demonstrated throughout his life, remained undeterred. Per the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, Bankers Insurance Company commenced business on June 11, 1976. Our first home stood on 34th Street in St. Petersburg.
John Strong is the CEO and Chairman of the Board for Bankers Financial Corporation and its affiliates and subsidiaries. He has served at the executive level of the insurance industry for nearly a decade following an accomplished career as a medical doctor turned business leader of the premier provider of medical diagnostic imaging services in North Carolina’s Triad.
