Pinellas County Finance Fair is July 10

The Pinellas Finance Fair, bringing together lenders and business owners from the Tampa Bay area, is July’s spotlight event at the Pinellas County Economic Development Epi-Center in Clearwater.

Registration is now open for the July 10 “trade show format” event, taking place from 12 to 2 p.m.

Twenty lenders, including community resources such as the FSBDC, SBA, CDC’s and PCED will attend for discussions on all levels. More than 100 interested business owners are expected.

Consultants at the Small Business Development Center are available now to help applicants develop – free of charge – a business plan, pitch, or summary page to share with lenders.

Registration is $50 for lenders, and free for business owners.

The Epi-Center is located at 3805 58th Street North, Suite 1-200 in Clearwater.

Here are July’s business workshops (free unless noted) at the Florida Small Business Development Center:

Tuesday, July 3: Starting a Business: Receive information on the necessary licenses, permits, legal documents and requirements to do business in the State of Florida. Learn to refine your ideas into a plan for success. $10.

Tuesday, July 10: SBA Loans and Services. Meet Charles Long – area manager for the Florida Small Business Association – to receive an overview of the Federal Small Business Administration’s loans and services programs for small businesses.

Thursday, July 12: Credit, What You Need To Know From the Inside Out. This workshop will provide a basic understanding of credit, how to read their credit reports, how to establish and build your credit, and learn about the role credit plays in helping you gain access to capital. Guest presenter Harold Gillespie.

Tuesday, July 17: Marketing to Increase Sales. Develop a plan to market your business effectively and efficiently to the right customers all the time. Effective marketing will help you find more customers and increase revenue. $20.
