Places This Week: A century-old Spanish Revival Clearwater home

A 100-year-old Spanish Revival property at 1175 Jackson Road, in the Country Club Estates neighborhood of Clearwater, has listed for $1.13 million.
Built in 1925, the two-story home offers four bedrooms and two bathrooms across 1,936 square feet of living space – 1,100 downstairs and 836 on the upper level.
The living room features wood floors and a recently restored original fireplace, and the dining room is surrounded by marble floors, a 16-foot-high ceiling and walls of windows.

Raising Cane’s Tyrone Boulevard property enters market
Property built for and occupied by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, at 2700 Tyrone Boulevard N., St. Petersburg, has entered the market with an asking price of $3.29 million.
The Louisiana-based franchise, founded in 1996 and now with over 850 establishments throughout the United States and internationally, opened its doors at this location Aug. 5.
The 2,728 square-foot newly constructed free-standing structure features modern architecture, a double-lane drive-thru and an interior design with local memorabilia. It is prominently positioned on a 1.04-acre parcel of land along Tyrone Boulevard.
Raising Cane’s 15-year triple net lease, with no landlord responsibilities, is set to expire in August 2040. The lease provides a 10% increase in rent every five years and offers four five-year options to renew.

Palm Harbor’s Alderman Plaza lists for $34.7 million
Alderman Plaza, a 93,487 square-foot shopping center at 35104 U.S. Highway 19 N., Palm Harbor, has listed for sale for $34.7 million.
The three-structure, 24-unit property was built in 1982 and 1986 and spans across four parcels of land. It is anchored by Crunch Fitness, which occupies 50,000 heated square feet.
Ninety-seven percent of the remaining units are leased by 21 tenants, including First Watch, Verizon, Salon Plex, Curaleaf, The UPS Store and other establishments. Two units are currently vacant.
Located at the signalized intersection of U.S. Highway 19 and Alderman Road, the property sees over 94,000 vehicles per day. Major retailers such as Publix, Walmart, Trader Joe’s and Fifth Third Bank surround the property.
The combined 9.92 acres of land provides 404 parking spaces.

Old Northeast Mediterranean-style home and carriage house sell
Listed in July for $2.5 million, a two-story 2,854 heated square-foot home and a two-story detached 600 square-foot carriage house, both built in 1925, sold Oct. 15 for $2.1 million.
Located at 125 13th Avenue N. in the Old Northeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg, the main residence offers three bedrooms and two-and-a-half-baths. A double-door entryway off of a front porch leads to a living and dining area on the main level with engineered oak flooring and a wood-burning fireplace. Armature Square apartments changes ownership
Armature Square, a seven-building, 90-unit apartment community situated on 3.19 acres at 4201 49th Street N., St. Petersburg, sold Oct. 14 for $12.5 million.
Six of the buildings, completed between 1983 and 1987, are two stories, hold 10 to 20 units each and range in size from 6,762 to 15,196 square feet of living space. The seventh, completed in 1984, is a one-story 986 square-foot office/clubhouse.
The complex offers 40 one bedroom/one bath, 34 two-bedroom/one-bath, and 16 two bedroom/two-bath units. Each apartment provides plank flooring, window coverings, carpet in the bedroom, washer and dryer connections and a patio or balcony.
Community amenities include a swimming pool, pet waste stations, onside laundry facilities and 24-hour emergency maintenance.
The seller, TG Realty Management, LLC, based in Brooklyn, New York, purchased the complex in 2022 for $12 million.

Habitat for Humanity purchases American Collegiate Clearwater campus
American Collegiate Academy, a private K-12 school with one location in Zephyrhills and another opening soon in Brooksville, closed Oct. 9 on the sale of its former Clearwater campus to Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County for $4.75 million.
Habitat secured a mortgage loan through Servisfirst Bank in the amount of $4.29 million.
Situated on 8.04 acres of land, the two-building property comprises a 34,020 heated square-foot religious structure built in 1975 at 1740 S. MLK Jr. Avenue, and a one-story, 1,348 heated square-foot residential unit built in 1956 at 833 Wyatt Street.
The American Collegiate Academy purchased the property from First Assembly of God Church of Clearwater in 2019 for $2.3 million.
