Following 70 days on the market, an Old Northeast Neighborhood home at 135 12th Avenue NE, St. Petersburg sold Sept. 2 for $1.2 million, approximately $200,000 below the original asking price.
The two-story restored craftsman bungalow, built in 1925, sits on a 0.11-acre lot and provides three bedrooms and two bathrooms across 2,409 gross square feet.

Former Methodist church lists for sale
The St. James United Methodist Church at 845 87th Avenue N., St. Petersburg closed its doors in December 2024, and the 2.11-acre property has now been listed for $3.5 million.
The facility comprises four buildings totaling over 22,000 square feet. The two oldest structures, one with 3,200 square feet built in 1953 and one with 2,424 square feet built in 1954, provides seven classrooms and multiple offices.
A 6,331 gross square-foot fellowship hall was built in 1964 and the main sanctuary, with 11,163 square feet, was completed in 1974.
Outside are more than 80 paved parking spots with additional parking available on grassy areas across an alley on the north side of the property.
It is zoned CRS-1 (Corridor Residential Suburban) on the western road front and NSM-1 (Neighborhood Suburban Multi-Family) on the remaining acreage.
St. James United Methodist Church Inc. acquired the parcel in 1974 for an unknown amount.

Industrial property near Joe’s Creek sells
The sale of a light manufacturing property occupied by Mesh Architecture and Fabrication, at 2900 44th Avenue N., St. Petersburg, closed Sept. 3 for $2.45 million.
The three-building property, with a combined 32,349 gross square feet, is situated on 1.37 acres of land near Joe’s Creek Industrial Park.
Building 1 is a two-story concrete structure completed in 1968 with 21,477 square feet. Buildings 2 and 3 are pre-finished metal one-story structures built in 1997, one with 5,916 square feet and the other with 4,956 square feet.
A new solar panel array and new roof were installed in 2016, along with the replacement of all HVAC units.
The seller, under the registered name Ben & Bets Enterprises, LLC, purchased the property in 2019 for $2.325 million.
