A weekly roundup of notable local real estate news.

A 24,690 square-foot, three-story building at 302 Grove Street, St. Petersburg, currently owned and occupied by Bridgepoint Church, has entered the market with an asking price of $7.5 million.

In 1924, a group purchased the 0.31 acres of land, situated across from Mirror Lake, and built the First Christian Church of St. Petersburg. It was completed in 1926.

When the Depression forced the church into foreclosure, some of the members repurchased the property at a public sale and renamed it the Mirror Lake Christian Church.

In 1992, following decreasing memberships and financial concerns, the church closed its doors. A consulting firm purchased the property in 1999 and turned it into the Lyceum at Mirror Lake, an event and wedding venue. The building returned to a house of worship when it was purchased by Bridgepoint Church Inc. in 2016 for $2.7 million.

Highlights of the property include an amphitheater with seating for up to 600, a suite of multi-purpose rooms, two kitchen spaces on separate floors, a catering door and access on the first floor, an elevator, new roofs in 2023 and 2025 and 51 deeded parking spaces in an adjacent garage.

The listing is provided by Scott Clendening and Austin Karrick with Commercial Partners Realty.
