‘Scott and Patti’ headed outdoors at freeFall
After great success with two previous “drive-in” shows, freeFall Theater will open a third open-air production Jan. 22. Scott and Patti: Get a Real Job! is a two-person show with Matthew McGee, freeFall’s marketing director and director of community relations, and his frequent stage partner Scott Daniel.
“Scott and Patti,” a longtime area favorite, is a “mother and son” musical comedy act, featuring McGee in one of his most popular drag roles.
As with the recent A Christmas Carol: In Concert, the show – which will feature a live band – is being musically-directed by Michael Raabe. Eric Davis is directing.
The company has been reluctant to return to inside performances; the “drive-in” format, centered around an outdoor stage in freeFall’s north parking lot, began in October with War of the Worlds.
Patrons book per-vehicle tickets and watch the performance from their automobiles; the sound is broadcast to each vehicle’s FM radio.
Scott and Patti: Get a Real Job! will run through Feb. 14. Details and tickets are available here.
