Super Bowl bound: Social media reacts to Buccaneers win over Green Bay
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to the Super Bowl for the second time in franchise history – and with the big game being held right here at Raymond James Stadium, they won’t have to travel far.
What’s more, the Bucs are the first team in NFL history to play in a Super Bowl in their home stadium. They’ll take on reigning Super Bowl champs the Kansas City Chiefs.

And from Steven Stamkos, the captain of the 2020 Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning.
Congrats @Buccaneers ! What a year for Tampa sports. @TomBrady is the GOAT for a reason. A Super Bowl championship in Tampa would be a great birthday present for me this year 🥳

Super Bowl LV will kick off Sunday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Due to Covid restrictions, the crowd will be limited to 22,000 fans, 7,500 of whom are vaccinated health care workers from around the country who were given free tickets. Even if you can’t snag tickets to the big game, you can still enjoy some of the perks of being the Super Bowl host city. The Super Bowl Experience, which will be held along the Tampa Riverwalk, begins Friday and offers fans the chance to virtually meet current and former NFL players, participate in games and, of course, shop.
And to close it out, here’s Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski reprising a video they created in 2019 after beating the Chiefs and earning a spot in the Super Bowl with their former team, the New England Patriots.
