The median earnings for University of Tampa students 10 years after graduation is $48,600, according to new data from the U.S. Department of Education.

That’s the highest salary after graduation for any area college or university that offers a four-year degree, the department’s new College Scorecard shows.

Eckerd College has the highest average annual cost at $31,151, and University of South Florida’s main campus in Tampa has the highest graduation rate, at 68 percent.

Among larger state schools, the median salary for students at University of Florida in Gainesville 10 years after graduation is $56,000. It’s $46,400 for Florida State University in Tallahassee, and $45,400 for University of Central Florida in Orlando.

The College Scorecard is designed to increase transparency by providing data to help students and families compare college costs and outcomes, the education department said. Data comes from federal reporting from institutions, federal financial aid and tax information.
