Tes One, Vitales create mural for downtown bank

St. Petersburg’s commercial murals are often as eye-catching and interesting as their purely artistic counterparts. Case in point is a new commission by First Citrus Bank, at 300 1st Ave. South.

The combined talents of SHINE Mural Festival co-founder Leon “Tes One” Bedore and the prolific Johnny and Paul Vitale, a.k.a. the Vitale Brothers, were employed on an expansive mural on the exterior and interior of the full-service branch building.

Collaborating since last September as Up&Over, Tes One and the Vitale Brothers created a bright, citrus-hued wraparound mural for the bank’s lobby, and another for the drive-through area.

“This mural is just one way we are showing that First Citrus Bank will continue to be an integral part of the community’s fabric,” President and CEO Jack Barrett said in a prepared statement. “We support our local artists and entrepreneurs, and fully acknowledge their impact and influence within downtown St. Pete.”
