The virtual tip jar: Bay area livestream concerts this weekend (updated)

The ambiance is significantly different, and there’s no table-to-table service, but at least there’s this: When a local musician is playing a virtual show, from their computer to yours, there won’t be any loud drunks in the room, drowning out the music.

(Of course, we can’t speak to the actual situation in your home.)

Since the current crisis has dried up, for the moment, any income potential for live performers, they’re turning to the internet in droves – in fact, by the thousands of droves – to reach out and touch you (figuratively speaking) with their tuneage and sparkling personalities. And virtual tip jars.

We’ve been covering this phenomenon since it began, and will continue to do our best to keep you up-to-date with who’s streaming what, and when, and where.

As this information is changing so quickly, and the lists are always being updated, may we suggest you check with DTSP Saved By Streaming, The Ale and the Witch, Tampa Sessions, State Theatre and, of course, the artists’ own social media pages.
