Premier Rides, a well-known ride manufacturer in the attraction and entertainment industry, is hiring employees at its new St. Pete facility.

The Baltimore-based ride manufacturer works with Florida theme parks such as Busch Gardens Tampa and SeaWorld Orlando. In June, the group purchased the former Minor League Baseball headquarters.

Premier Rides did not disclose the plans for the St. Pete facility, which includes a 10,285-square-foot building and a 3,600-square-foot building. However, new job listings posted on its site indicate the types of roles the new St. Pete location is hiring for and that Premier Rides will continue to have a presence in Baltimore.

The listed available positions include:

  • A senior engineering department manager: The job description states this position is “both Baltimore and Tampa area based.” The individual must have a minimum experience of 10 years of fieldwork in the amusement industry working on roller coasters. He/she also must have a minimum of 10 years of management experience in overseeing a team of engineers.
  • An administrative manager: This is a St. Pete-based position where the administrative manager would work with senior management on benefits and payroll programs and oversee the recruitment and hiring process, including for the internship program. The individual must have a minimum of five years of office management experience.
  • The other positions are for internships. One is a St. Pete-based marketing internship, while another is for mechanical engineering.

Premier Rides also has offices overseas in Europe and Asia.

Premier’s local work includes Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s Tigris ride, which is Florida’s tallest launch coaster; the Ice Breaker ride at SeaWorld Orlando; and the Revenge of the Mummy ride at Universal Studios Orlando.

It is also widely known for creating multiple rides and experiences at Six Flags parks in Texas and California.
