WHEN: SUNDAY, JANUARY 11 at 3 PM

WHAT: CELEBRATE DUKE ELLINGTON: Come enjoy a jazzy popular music program of tunes from the Great American Songbook including many favorites made famous by Duke Ellington and his band. Among many great selections, you will hear “Satin Doll”, “Don’t Get Around much Anymore” and “Take the A-Train”. Seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 2:30.

WHO: BRYAN HUGHES, vocalist and his great band THE CREW. Bryan is a talented Tampa Bay area singer who performs frequently with La Lucha and at the Palladium Side Door Jazz Programs and at many other festivals and jazz clubs. For this program, he brings his own wonderful band and will sing some of his favorite numbers. The Crew features James Suggs, trumpet; Simon Lasky, piano; Jean Bolduc, drums; and Alejandro Arenas, bass.

WHERE: Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church (the pink church downtown) 110 S. Ft. Harrison Ave., Clwr. (at corner of Pierce and Ft. Harrison).

CHARGE: No tickets needed and seating is first come, first served. An offering to help defray future performance costs is respectfully requested but not required ($5-$10 minimum suggested). Doors open at 2:30.

PARKING/ACCESS: There are four primary areas: 1) directly east across Ft. Harrison in large County lot 2) in lot north of the church fellowship hall 3) directly west in the Old City Hall lot and 4) at the SW corner of Pierce and Osceola in an additional city lot. The city has now started construction on a parking garage in the old shell lot right behind Peace, so this area will be unavailable until the garage is finished. During peak traffic times you may wish to use Myrtle Avenue and access the church by way of Pierce or Park Streets.
