CodeBoxx Academy to Host Career in Tech Open House Sept. 11 in St. Petersburg
Free event gives career changers, parents returning to work, and recent grads a direct look at tech jobs open to candidates without a CS degree, plus a look inside CodeBoxx Academy’s curriculum, cost, and placement outcomes
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — CodeBoxx Academy will host a Career in Tech Open House on Friday, September 11, giving Tampa Bay residents considering a move into tech a direct look at what roles are actually available to them and what those roles pay locally.
Doors open at 4 p.m. and the program begins at 4:30 p.m. at 1101 4th St. S, Suite 300, in St. Petersburg. The event is free, but registration is required.
Attendees will hear directly from people who built careers in tech without a computer science degree, get a clear picture of which Tampa Bay-area tech roles hire without one and what those roles pay, and see an unfiltered look at CodeBoxx Academy’s curriculum, schedule, cost, and placement outcomes. Organizers designed the event to leave every attendee with one concrete step they can take before the end of the week if they want to move forward.
The open house is aimed at career changers, parents returning to the workforce, high school seniors, recent graduates whose degree hasn’t opened the doors they expected, and workers in retail, food service, warehouse, and administrative jobs considering a change.
CodeBoxx Academy trains students for tech careers in four to six months, and a number of its graduates now work at CodeBoxx itself.
