Good morning. My name is Dr. Edward Pope, and I am a Republican candidate for Florida’s 16th Congressional District.
I wanted to personally introduce myself and provide your publication with information regarding my campaign, background, and vision for the future of Florida’s 16th Congressional District. I have attached my professional BIO along with my “Florida First” agenda for your review.

I am a Navy veteran, former law enforcement officer with 14 years of service, and a longtime executive leader with over two decades of operational leadership experience in the private sector. I hold two Master’s degrees and a Doctorate in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Executive Leadership. Throughout my career, I have dedicated my life to public service, leadership under pressure, and protecting the communities and people I serve.

My campaign is focused on restoring accountability, strengthening public safety, protecting constitutional freedoms, supporting veterans and law enforcement, securing our borders, fighting for fiscal responsibility, and ensuring that Florida families and businesses continue to thrive. I believe voters are looking for proven leadership, real-world experience, and representatives who understand both public service and the challenges facing working Americans.

As part of my campaign, I am actively engaging with communities throughout Polk, DeSoto, Hardee, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and the surrounding areas to discuss the issues that matter most to the residents of Florida’s 16th Congressional District.
