Local Author and Artist Celebrate St. Petersburg in For the Love of St. Pete Book
Florida Author Seth Sjostrom and Artist Michele Sjostrom Prepare for a September 1 Launch

Florida author Seth Sjostrom and artist Michele Sjostrom are launching a new series highlighting coastal towns and their cherished landmarks. Aimed to thrill locals and tourists alike, the Postcard Press “Watercolor Towns” collection of books debuts with For the Love of St. Pete.

Getting her start with oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, Michele added digital media to her portfolio for the launch of the duo’s Hurricane Channing children’s books. Michele adopted a watercolor art style in creating For the Love of St. Pete.

Michele shares what drew her to this new project, “I wanted to create magical pages of our Watercolor Towns to show how gorgeous these places truly are. These towns have secret and not-so-secret jewels that hold special places in our hearts. I want to share with everyone the colors and beauty, the way I get to experience them.”

Author Seth Sjostrom is known for his Beach House Mysteries series, which features Treasure Island as the setting in Trouble on Treasure Island. Venturing to North Carolina for book two in the series, A Caper on Carolina Beach, Seth returned to Florida for book three, Peril in Palm Beach. The series, which highlights points of interest in each coastal locale the books are set in, has been very successful and even considered for a made-for-television movie series.

“I wanted to make the towns that the main character Kate Harper visits to be as much a character in the stories as the characters themselves,” Seth explains.

For the Love of St. Pete, more coffee table art book than deep story, takes that celebration of beach towns to the next level. Each page highlights a local landmark that stirs a flutter of memories, whether that be of home or a fond vacation.

From iconic The Don CeSar to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, images and notes fill the pages of the book with reminders of what makes St. Pete and her beaches an amazing place to call home or an exciting place to visit again and again.

For the Love of St. Pete launches on September 1, 2025. Michele and Seth will attend several book signings throughout the region, including featuring the book at Halloween on Central’s Voodoo Village on Sunday, October 26th.

Books will be available anywhere books are sold as well as online as well as www.SethSjostrom.com. Seth kindly urges readers to shop local when they can.

A serial entrepreneur, adventurer and author, For the Love of St. Pete is Seth Sjostrom’s twenty-seventh published book and fifth to take place in Florida.

The book represents Michel Sjostrom’s seventh illustrated book.
