Pinellas NOW and allied groups to Rage Against The Regime
in St. Petersburg
As the Trump Administration attacks our neighbors, healthcare, and freedom, Americans come together to demand regime change.

ST. PETERSBURG – On Saturday, August 2nd, local organizers with Pinellas NOW, the League of Women Voters St. Petersburg, Indivisible FL-13, and allied partners will take to the streets to oppose threats to our democracy, due process, our bodies, and our communities as part of the 50501 movement’s “Rage Against the Regime” National Day of Action.

“We are channeling into collective action our collective rage against the Trump regime,” stated Amy Weintraub, Pinellas NOW member and event organizer. “They have weaponized ICE against our communities, constructed concentration camps, covered up the Epstein Files, attacked transgender rights, and dismantled Medicaid, SNAP, USAID, the Department of Education, NOAA, and the National Weather Service. Enough is enough.”

All 50501 movement actions are inclusive, nonviolent, and community-led. Supporters and media are encouraged to attend the protest.

WHO: A coalition of community leaders, advocates, and grassroots supporters led by Pinellas NOW (National Organization for Women). Other co-sponsors: League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg area, Fired Up Pinellas, Indivisible FL-13, Allendale United Methodist, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship St. Petersburg, National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, Voter Action Pinellas, and Common Cause Florida.

WHAT: August 2nd Rage Against the Regime. #Resistance Day of Action St. Pete: A visibility event to stop the assault on the nation and Constitution. Plenty of interview and photograph opportunities.
