MEDIA ALERT MYcroSchool Pinellas 2021 Graduation to Feature 2018 Graduate Davion Only-Going, Whose Adoption Story Captured the Nation’s Heart Tomorrow evening, Tuesday, June 22, 2021
The MYcroSchool Pinellas Class of 2021 numbers 91 graduates, bringing the school’s graduation total to more than 500 since opening nine years ago. These graduates, young men and women who have dropped out of traditional high schools, are empowered with the education and tools needed to find meaningful work, attend college, follow a career path and have a better hope for the future. Many are the first in their families to earn a high school diploma.
This year’s graduation ceremony is the first to feature an alumnus of MYcroSchool Pinellas. Davion Only-Going, a 2018 graduate, is currently attending the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Davion spent his first 17 years in foster care and his success story of adoption, earning a high school diploma at MYcroSchool Pinellas and receiving a full scholarship to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) is both inspiring and an example to the class of 2021 of how far you can go if you follow your plan.
