What: Whataburger is growing in the Sunshine State! The brand will officially “break ground” on its jpg icon first Tampa Bay location in Largo, FL, signaling the start of an exciting wave of growth and investment across the area.
As part of its expansion, Whataburger plans to open eight restaurants across the Tampa Bay area by the end of 2027, creating new jobs and bringing its signature Goodness 24/7 to local communities.
The first wave of openings is slated for 2026:

Spring 2026: W Brandon Blvd. & N Hilltop Rd., Brandon, FL
Summer 2026: SR-54 & Sierra Center Blvd., Lutz, FL
